SCMP Senior Friends (SF) gathered in 70’s Bistro for a night of memories, music and tribute to SCM martyrs on January 19. Around 20 representatives of SCMers from the 70’s, 80’s, 90’s and 2000’s came by invitation of the SCM National Executive Committee.
Among those who came were Ms. Carmencita Karagdag and Prof. Elmer Ferrer, who were at the helm of SCMP leadership during the critical time before Martial Law was declared. The 80’s generation was represented by Faith Bacon and Rudy Corro, Jr. The 90’s generation, on the other hand, was represented by former secretary-generals Lovella de Castro and Edmund Bacatan. The 2K generation, the present batch of SCMers, was represented by chapters from University of the Philippines Diliman and Manila, Polytechnic University of the Philippines, and the present NEC.
In the said activity, SCM NEC announced it will form the 50th Anniversary Preparatory Committee composed of the SFs and current NEC to outline the events and projects in conjunction with the celebration.
