The Ecumenical Asia-Pacific Students and Youth Network (EASYNet) is a voluntary network of youth and student movements in Asia and the Pacific. It seeks to promote and live out the spirit of ecumenism at the grassroots level through a deeper understanding of the realities as well as a common desire to confront the challenges facing the youth and students.
In the midst of the suffering and hope of the God’s people, the incarnation of the Christian faith lies at the heart of our work as youth and student movements. We seek to integrate faith and action taking into accounts Asia-Pacific highly pluralistic context. We firmly believe that the challenge of deepened ecumenical cooperation and dialogue and the search for creative ways of revitalizing student and youth activism are instruments to fulfilling our just vision of a just and sustainable world.
As students and youth in Asia-Pacific, inspired by the life and teachings of Jesus Christ, we renew our commitment to a society that upholds gender and social justice where human beings and all of creation live in dignity and respect.
We envision a society where life-affirming values such as respect for the environment, democracy and cooperation, generosity and tolerance and a commitment to genuine pluralism are advocated as prime organizing principles of society.
With this vision and hope, EASYNet will continue its journey for the transformation of our societies, churches, organizations and movements so that all may have life in its fullness.
